Hadith 18
The Book of Menstruation and Istihadah
Abu Hurairah said:
"While the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was in the Masjid, he said: 'O 'Aishah, hand me the garment.' She said: 'I am not praying.' He said: 'It is not in your hand.' So she gave it to him."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَازِمٍ، قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ بَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي الْمَسْجِدِ إِذْ قَالَ " يَا عَائِشَةُ نَاوِلِينِي الثَّوْبَ " . فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي لاَ أُصَلِّي . فَقَالَ " إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِي يَدِكِ " . فَنَاوَلَتْهُ .
