Hadith 14
The Book of Horses, Races and Shooting
ENGLISH
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said:
"There should be no awards (for victory in a competition) except over camels or horses."
ARABIC
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي الْحَكَمِ، - مَوْلًى لِبَنِي لَيْثٍ - عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
لاَ سَبَقَ إِلاَّ فِي خُفٍّ أَوْ حَافِرٍ
