Hadith 28
The Book of Adornment
ENGLISH
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that:
The Messenger of Allah [ﷺ] said: "One of the best kinds of kohl that you use is Ithmid (antimony); it brightens the vision and makes the hair (eye-lashes) grow."
ARABIC
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَطَّارُ - عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
إِنَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الإِثْمِدَ إِنَّهُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعَرَ
