The Book of Adornment
ENGLISH
It was narrated that Al-Ash'ari said:
"The Messenger of Allah [ﷺ] said: 'Any woman who puts on perfume then passes by people so that they can smell her fragrance then she is an adulteress.'"
ARABIC
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُمَارَةَ - عَنْ غُنَيْمِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنِ الأَشْعَرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ اسْتَعْطَرَتْ فَمَرَّتْ عَلَى قَوْمٍ لِيَجِدُوا مِنْ رِيحِهَا فَهِيَ زَانِيَةٌ
