Hadith 11

The Book of Drinks

ENGLISH

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah, from his father, that:

The Prophet (ﷺ) [ﷺ] said: "Do not soak Az-Zahuw and ripe dates, and do not soak ripe dates and raisins together."

ARABIC

أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏

‏ لاَ تَنْبِذُوا الزَّهْوَ وَالرُّطَبَ وَلاَ تَنْبِذُوا الرُّطَبَ وَالزَّبِيبَ جَمِيعًا ‏
