Hadith 5
The Book of Purification
ENGLISH
Narrated Thawban (rad):
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) sent out a military expedition and commanded them to wipe over the turbans and leather socks. [ Reported by Ahmad and Abu Da’ud. Al-Hakim graded it Sahih (sound)].
ARABIC
وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -سَرِيَّةً, فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَمْسَحُوا عَلَى اَلْعَصَائِبِ - يَعْنِي: اَلْعَمَائِمَ -وَالتَّسَاخِينِ- يَعْنِي: اَلْخِفَافَ } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِم ُ [1] .
