Hadith 566
Sitting and lying down
Ibn 'Umar said, "the Prophet, (ﷺ), said, 'None of you should eat with his left hand nor drink with his left hand. Shaytan eats and drinks with his left hand.'"
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم: لاَ يَأْكُلُ أَحَدُكُمْ بِشِمَالِهِ، وَلاَ يَشْرَبَنَّ بِشِمَالِهِ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ، وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ. قال: كان نافع يزيد فيها: ((ولا يأخذ بها، ولا يعطي بها))
