Hadith 3
The Book of Jihad and Expeditions
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has been reported by Anas b. Malik to have said:
Show leniency; do not be hard; give solace and do not create aversion.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، ح. وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ، الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
يَسِّرُوا وَلاَ تُعَسِّرُوا وَسَكِّنُوا وَلاَ تُنَفِّرُوا
