Hadith 15
The Book Pertaining to the Remembrance of Allah, Supplication, Repentance and Seeking Forgiveness
Anas reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) wed to make this supplication:
" O Allah, I seek refuge in You from miserliness, from sloth and from decrepitude."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ الْعَمِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ الأَعْوَرُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ الْحَبْحَابِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَدْعُو بِهَؤُلاَءِ الدَّعَوَاتِ
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُخْلِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَأَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَفِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ
