Hadith 1516
Musnad Abu Ishaq Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas
It was narrated from ‘Amir bin Sa"d bin Abi Waqqas that his father said:
We came with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and passed by the mosque of Banu Mu"awiyah. He went in and prayed two rak"ahs, and we prayed with him, then he conversed with his Lord, may He be glorified and exalted, for a long time. He said: “I asked my Lord for three things: I asked Him not to let my ummah be destroyed by drowning, and He granted me that; I asked Him not to let my ummah be destroyed by famine, and He granted me that: and I asked Him not to let their enmity be amongst themselves, but He withheld that from me.”
