Hadith 1574
Musnad Abu Ishaq Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas
"Amir bin Sa"d narrated from his father that
the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came one day from al-"Aliyah, and when he passed by the mosque of Banu Mu"awiyah, he went in and prayed two rak"ahs, and we prayed with him. Then he called upon his Lord for a long time, then he turned to us and said: "I asked my Lord for three things, and He granted me two and withheld from me one. I asked Him not to let my ummah be destroyed by famine, and He granted me that, I asked Him not to let my ummah be destroyed by drowning and He granted me that: and I asked Him not to let their enmity be amongst themselves, but He withheld that from me.”
