Hadith 2230
Musnad of 'Abdullah bin al-'Abbas bin 'Abdul-Muttalib from the Prophet
ENGLISH
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to deliver the khutbah leaning on a tree trunk, before the minbar was set up. When the minbar was set up and he moved it, the tree trunk made a sorrowful sound. So he came to it and embraced it, and it calmed down. He said, "If I had not embraced it, it would have continued to grieve until the Day of Resurrection.”
