Hadith 2415
Musnad of 'Abdullah bin al-'Abbas bin 'Abdul-Muttalib from the Prophet
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) moved on from ‘Arafah and he commanded them to be calm. He seated Usamah bin Zaid behind him on his mount and said:
"O people, you should be calm and dignified, for it is not righteousness to move quickly with camels and horses." And I never saw any camel raising its feet and running until it reached Muzdalifah. Then he seated al-Fadl bin 'Abbas behind him on his mount from Muzdalifah to Mina, saying: “O people, you should be calm and dignified, for it is not righteousness to move quickly with camels and horses.” And I never saw any camel raising its feet and running until it reached Mina.
