The Book on Purification

ENGLISH

Ibn Abbas narrated:

"One of the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) performed Ghusl with a bowl. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) wanted to perform Wudu with it, so she said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Indeed I am ]unub.' So he said: 'Indeed, water does not become Junub.'"

ARABIC

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ اغْتَسَلَ بَعْضُ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي جَفْنَةٍ فَأَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهُ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ جُنُبًا ‏.‏ فَقَالَ ‏

‏ إِنَّ الْمَاءَ لاَ يُجْنِبُ ‏
