The Book on Jana''iz (Funerals)
ENGLISH
Abdullah narrated that:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "He who slaps (his) cheeks, tears (his) clothes and calls with the call of the Jahliyyah is not one of us."
ARABIC
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زُبَيْدٌ الأَيَامِيُّ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ شَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ وَضَرَبَ الْخُدُودَ وَدَعَا بِدَعْوَةِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ
