Prescribed Punishments (Kitab Al-Hudud)

‘A’ishah said:
The prophet (ﷺ) used to cut off a thief’s hand for a quarter of a dinar and upwards.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، رضى الله عنها أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَقْطَعُ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا .
